Jericho steps on Kane’s face to demonstrate momentum heading into the Fatal Four-Way Match at EC.
Michelle McCool and several other divas holding a powwow similar to the one on ECW earlier this week, discussing the very real possibility that Kharma could leave RAW in San Diego next week as Women’s Champion and how difficult it would be for someone to step to the plate and take the title from her. McCool resolves to form a temporary alliance with any diva willing to join the cause and ensure that Natalya retains the title Monday Night.
Muhammad Hassan is backstage with The Exchange and is furious over being booked in a match with Randy Orton that he wasn’t prepared for. Teddy Long tells Hassan to get ready, because he will be in action tonight against--THE UNDERTAKER. Hassan is fuming with rage.
David Hart Smith is in the ring and says that this past Monday the WWE inducted his father, The British Bulldog, into the WWE Hall of Fame and it inspired him to step up and do his father proud by issuing a challenge for the Intercontinental Championship TONIGHT. It doesn’t take long for Shelton Benjamin to accept his challenge. The bell rings and the match is underway.
David Hart Smith def. Shelton Benjamin to become the NEW Intercontinental Champion
Good, sound technical match. Benjamin attempts a Turnbuckle Splash, but Smith dodges sending the champion crashing into the corner. Smith grabs Benjamin from behind and applies the Bulldog Bite Dragon Sleeper. Benjamin struggles and Smith lifts him into a Running Powerslam and DH Smith scores a HUGE upset victory to claim his first singles title. The emotional new champion raises his finger skyward saying “That’s for you, Dad.” After the match, Benjamin gets back to his feet and congratulates the new champion with a handshake and a pat on the back before leaving the ring.
Theodore Long is backstage in his office preparing for the Gauntlet Match later this evening when Jinder Mahal storms in and begins a tirade on how Hassan and the rest have been unfairly treated and intentionally kept off television for weeks. Alberto Del Rio is headed to the ring for his “qualifying” match of sorts against Rey Mysterio as we go to break.
Alberto Del Rio def. Rey Mysterio when Sin Cara interfered
Finish came after Mysterio connected with the 619. Ricardo Rodriguez jumped up on the apron to distract the referee as Sin Cara came down to the ring on a pair of crutches. Perplexed, Mysterio stands on the apron as The International Sensation makes his way down to the ring. Mysterio is stunned as Sin Cara slams one crutch over Mysterio’s left arm before thrusting it into his throat. Sin Cara takes hold of the other crutch and shatters it over Rey’s head as Mysterio crumbles back into the ring. Del Rio slaps on the Cross Armbreaker and the official stops the match. Rey Mysterio will NOT compete in the tag match at EC.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin discussing strategy entering the Tag Title Match at Elimination Chamber.
The Animal Batista is heading to the ring for the next Survival Match. Batista versus Edge is next as we head to commercial.
Edge def. Batista
Batista is on the verge of putting The Rated “R” Superstar away when the static, snow and test pattern start cutting the signal to the titantron. Once again, the code word “REVENGE” and the date “03/12/12” roll across the screen before the test pattern gives way to the signal on the titantron again. In just enough time for Batista to turn around into a waiting Spear. Edge picks up the victory and for the moment, it will be a tag team match between Edge and Christian and the team of Alberto Del Rio and Kurt Angle.
Jeremy Borash interviews Randy Orton and asks him what his strategy is for tonight’s gauntlet match. Orton casts an icy stare at Borash and simply says “win” before stalking away.
PETEY WILLIAMS is on his way to the ring for his debut match with Jinder Mahal as we go to break.
Petey Williams def. Jinder Mahal
Williams was impressive connecting with a Canadian Leg Sweep at one point during the match before countering Mahal’s Sands of Time Gutbuster into The Canadian Destroyer for the DECISIVE victory. Striker marks through the wall for the impact of the Destroyer.
Borash catches up with Wade Barrett. Barrett says it doesn’t matter who wins the six-pack gauntlet, it doesn’t matter who wins the final spot, and ultimately it doesn’t matter who THINKS they’re going to win the Chamber. The Barrett Barrage will not be stopped until he’s standing in the middle of the ring in Miami, FL holding the World Heavyweight Championship.
A vignette runs with soundbytes playing over video footage rifling through countless WWE Superstars. Soundbytes like “NO ONE IS SAFE”, “THE WINDS OF CHANGE ARE BLOWING” and perhaps most noticeably the voice of Vince McMahon shouting--”IT’S TIME TO SHAKE THINGS UP AGAIN!!!”--This is all accompanied by the tagline--ONE MONTH AWAY as we go to break...
Christian versus Kurt Angle ends in a Double DQ
Finish came when Del Rio aided Angle in a double-team beatdown of Christian, drawing the initial DQ. Edge comes down to make the save, hitting a spear on both Angle and Del Rio. Edge and Christian both retaliate with a Con-Chair-To each to Angle drawing a second disqualification. It now appears it will be a one-on-one contest between Edge and Del Rio at Elimination Chamber.
Borash catches up with Big Show. Borash asks Show what he believes gives him the advantage over his five opponents in the Gauntlet and the Chamber. Big Show grins at Borash and clocks JB with the WMD. Big Show picks up the dropped mic and tells the WWE Universe-- “Ask a stupid question...get a straightforward answer.” Show heads for the ring as we go to break.

Fall Two: Wade Barrett def. Bryan Danielson with Wasteland.
Fall Three: Randy Orton def. Wade Barrett with an RKO
Fall Four: Randy Orton def. Cody Rhodes after countering Cross Rhodes into another RKO.
After the match, Orton attempts another Punt on Rhodes, but decides against it at the last minute and rolls from the ring. Clearly, the Viper is planning something more diabolical for the Chamber.
The teaser runs for The Undertaker versus Muhammad Hassan as we go to our final break.
Muhammad Hassan def. The Undertaker when CM Punk interfered
Taker had the match wrapped up after flattening Hassan with The Last Ride. The Deadman was about to finish with a Tombstone when the lights go down. The lights come back up and CM Punk is standing behind Taker. Punk hoists The Phenom up and drops him with another GTS. Hassan crawls to the cover and logs the pinfall.
The WWE Champion grabs the mic and tells Taker that he would put him to sleep for good if he got involved with him or Jericho again and this was a statement to demonstrate that he was serious in his assertion. Punk celebrates putting one over on the Undertaker TWICE this week and raises the WWE Championship belt over his head while standing over the fallen #1 contender for Sheamus’ World Title as Smackdown! goes off the air.
