RAW Supershow Fantasy Card Results 02.20.12

Tonight's WWE RAW Supershow opens with John Cena sitting in an isolation room, only one dim lightbulb illuminating his face from above. Cena says that he initially formed an alliance with The Nexus to put the Rock out of commission and to extend the branch of expertise from someone with the charisma and ability to lead to the future of the business help them establish their name. Cena says that over the course of the last three months, he has been continually disappointed by his recruits that he had hoped to mold into the most dominant militant force that the WWE had ever experienced.

Cena says that The Nexus was never going to get the job done and this was further proven when The Rock returned last night to spoil any chance of the main event at Wrestlemania being for the WWE Championship. Cena says that he can’t concern himself with a pursuit of the WWE Title anymore and as such will abstain from participation tonight. Cena says he must focus all of his attention on The Rock and formulating a strategy to put him away forever.

We go back to the arena and CM Punk enters, STILL WWE Champion. We are live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN as Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show. Punk grabs a mic and thanks Dwayne for sticking his nose where it didn’t belong last night to ensure that he remained WWE Champion and says that unlike most in the WWE Universe, he doesn’t care who ends up winning in the “Main Event” at Wrestlemania, because he can guarantee that one way or the other, the bigger company Yes-Man will win and that’s not what he’s here for. Punk says that he personally hopes that they both find a way to lose.
Punk addresses the current situation that stands before him. CM Punk says that tonight he has a date with resolution as he will finally put his business with the Undertaker behind him in a match for the WWE Championship. The WWE Champion calls out Bret Hart and says that last night’s PPV presents them with a real issue. Punk says that half of the participants in the Championship Chase Tournament have removed themselves from competition. Punk says that after tonight, Undertaker has a match at Wrestlemania with Chris Jericho, so Y2J is out of the title picture. Punk says that Cena has already pulled out for the night and says he just read a post off of @HEELZiggler’s Twitter Page that says “In Light of recent humiliating losses on Friday and Sunday Night, he is actively boycotting tonight’s action and not competing tonight. Punk also points out that Jeff Hardy is incapacitated after the stunt he pulled during last night’s show, which presents a real problem as the tournament bracket has very quickly fallen apart. Punk requests that Bret rectify this situation with a fresh, new solution.

Bret enters and says that he has a resolution for this fiasco. Bret says that he and Theodore Long came to a interpromotional agreement regarding the WWE Title picture at Wrestlemania. Bret points out that there are still several RAW and Smackdown superstars that currently have no plans for Wrestlemania, so both brands have fielded twelve hungry superstars and will decide the #1 contender in a 24-man over-the-top Battle Royal. The last man standing at the end of the evening will challenge for CM Punk’s WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 28. Punk grins and tells Bret to tell GM Long that he’s outdone himself again. Punk rolls from the ring and heads back up the ramp as Bret looks on.

Back in the isolation room with Cena. Cena says that for the last seven years, he’s been trying far too hard to please everyone and make the entirety of the WWE Universe love him. Cena concedes that not everyone, let alone anyone, is going to approve of his every action and in order to make any progress, he may have to step on a few toes. Cena puts his head down in stern contemplation as we go to commercial.

Back from break and America’s Most Wanted is in the ring awaiting the Tag Team Championship Match they were promised last week. Out comes MCMG.
MCMG def. America’s Most Wanted to remain WWE Tag Team Champions
Finish comes when Sabin curls up during an attempted Death Sentence, sending Harris crashing to the mat. Sabin rolls over Storm’s shoulder and into position for a Falling Neckbreaker. Alex Shelley hits a Diving Splash to put Storm away with Skull and Bones for the three count.

A teaser for tonight’s WWE Championship Match between CM Punk and The Undertaker.

Cena acknowledges that he thought he held the WWE in the palm of his hand when he assumed control of The Nexus. Cena says he stunned the world and the inexplicably loyal, snot-nosed kids who followed him all of these years when he became the enemy. Cena says perhaps the haters were on to something this whole time. Maybe the detractors recognized that he has gone soft since 2004 and were only trying to help him keep his edge, keep his wits about him and not get complacent. Cena apologizes to the haters for letting their “helpful advice” fall on deaf ears until now.

Wade Barrett def. Sin Cara

Finish comes when Barrett snags Cara in the midst of La Mistica and drills him with Wasteland for three.

A teaser comes up for the #1 Contender’s Battle Royal later tonight.

The next WWE Hall of Fame Induction will be announced next.

Cena remembers back to the last time The Rock competed in a match of this magnitude at Wrestlemania, It was 10 years ago in Toronto. Cena recounts that at Wrestlemania X8, The Rock upended the legendary Hulk Hogan in a match for the ages that at the time was billed to determine who was the “Absolute Best Ever.” Cena recognizes that many see him as a “Modern Day Hulk Hogan” in more capacities than one. Cena says that history tends to repeat itself, but in order to prevail, he must not allow history to repeat in this particular instance. The light in the room flickers as we go to commercial.

Back from break and the next announcement for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012 belongs to “The Model” RICK MARTEL.

CHRIS JERICHO enters and discusses how since The Royal Rumble, he’s been prevented from seizing the WWE Championship on countless occasions by The Undertaker. Jericho says that this all ends on April 1 at Wrestlemania. Jericho tells the crowd that upon his return, he promised that the Old Guard would fall by the wayside and that the world as everyone knew it would come to a screeching halt. Jericho says that the world as The WWE Universe has come to know it is a world where The Undertaker is feared, a world where “The Streak” has been equated as an Everest that will never be achieved, a world where seemingly no one can end the runaway freight train that is The Undertaker. Jericho says that he has returned to show everyone that that world no longer exists.

Jericho muses on how all things eventually come full circle. Jericho says when he first arrived on the scene in WWE back in August of 1999, his mission objective was to save the WWE from accepting less than excellence. Jericho says that his focus shifted upon his second return to Saving the WWE Universe from mind-numbing monotony of alleged wrestlers like John Cena and Randy Orton and when he realized that the WWE Universe didn’t want saving, the focus became saving himself from all of them. Jericho observes that upon his third return, his objective has made the revolution and has once again become to save the WWE from the idea that nothing ever changes. Jericho says that some things never change, as Jericho still equates to excellence, but reminds the crowd that he is still here to save the WWE from The Undertaker and one more damn year of superstars falling at The Deadman’s feet. Jericho insists that he won’t lie down for The Undertaker and tells The Phenom that it’s fitting that Full Circle for Y2J means The End of The Road for him.

The lights go out and the gong sounds as The Undertaker lurches down to ringside and into the ring. Taker engages in a tense staredown with Jericho. Jericho stares directly into Undertaker’s eyes and tells him “You will not out-psych me, you will not outsmart me, and you most certainly will not outdo me. You want to play mind games? I can play, too. You got a taste of that during the Last Man Standing Match last night. Mark my words Deadman, I will emerge victorious at Wrestlemania, I WILL end the Streak and on April 2, you will wake up to the realization that for all the accomplishments, for all the accolades, the achievements, for every victim you’ve claimed over nearly 25 years in WWE, your lasting legacy will be 19 and ONE. I will solidify my legacy once and for all, Six-Time World Champion, NINE TIME Intercontinental Champion, FIRST EVER Undisputed Champion, FIRST man to EVER knock off The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night, The Best In The World At Every Last Thing I Do, and to cement my legacy, I will go down in history as THE ONE. THE MAN. The man who did what no other living soul could do. At the end of it all, Deadman, my legacy will read: CHRIS JERICHO: THE MAN WHO ENDED “THE STREAK”.”
Undertaker grabs Jericho by the throat and attempts a Chokeslam, but Jericho counters with a Codebreaker and rolls from the ring. Jericho retreats, yelling “This will not stop Taker. I will haunt your dreams every night until Wrestlemania, and every night thereafter.” as we go to break.

Back from break and Jim Ross delivers Breaking News that THE ROCK is on his way to the arena and will deliver an address to the fans later tonight concerning Wrestlemania, John Cena and his surprise return last night.

Alberto Del Rio def. Sheamus when Ricardo Rodriguez interfered

Finish came as Rodriguez took a Brogue Kick for his involvement. Sheamus turns around into a Step Up Enziguri and a Jumping Arm Breaker. Del Rio locks in the Cross Armbreaker and refuses to let go. Sheamus even climbs back to his feet twice and drops Del Rio to the canvas with him in an attempt to break the hold, but Del Rio has a death grip on Sheamus’ arm. After minutes of struggling for the bottom rope, Sheamus swallows his pride and taps out.

Christian is headed to the ring to explain his actions after Edge’s match at Elimination Chamber next.

Cena is still in the isolation room. His monologue now takes him to an in depth self-discovery of whether or not he truly is a “Modern Day Hogan”. Maybe he is just the guy who took the hand away from his ear and put it in front of his face. Cena says that he can’t afford to make the same mistakes that Hogan did when confronting the Rock ten years ago as we go to break.

Back from commercial and Christian is in the ring with a mic, soaking in the boos. Christian finally speaks up and says that he owes an explanation to absolutely no one but delivers a brief synopsis. Christian says like everyone else, he was heartbroken when he learned that his best friend Edge had to retire due to his injuries, but eventually made peace with the inevitable and went on to briefly shine in the spotlight in honor of his career, even becoming World Heavyweight Champion at one juncture. He was finally getting the opportunity to shine on his own, but all of that came to an end on January 29.

Christian says that Edge couldn’t stay away, he couldn’t resist hogging the spotlight. Christian points out that Edge immediately proceeded to toss both he and Alberto Del Rio from the match, only to dismiss the elimination as “Heat of the Moment”. Christian says he never bought it for a minute, but had to lure Edge in with a false sense of reconciliation that included a Tag Team Title reign. Christian admits that he has been actively sabotaging Edge at every turn since losing the tag titles on ECW that week. Christian says that Edge’s worst infraction of all was keeping his recovery a secret from everyone, including his most intimate friends. Christian tells Edge that he was every bit as dishonest, if not more so than he has been since The Rumble. Christian says if Edge has any integrity at all, he’ll accept the challenge he’s laying forward. EDGE versus CHRISTIAN at Wrestlemania.

The Rated R Superstar hits the entrance ramp, charges to the ring and Christian begins stomping Edge from the second he slides under the ropes. Edge starts throwing rights and lefts to fight Christian off, comes off the ropes and drills Captain Charisma with a vile Spear. Edge grabs the mic and accepts the challenge. Bret Hart enters and says that both of these men seem like their more than spoiling for a fight tonight and proceeds to book each with their own match tonight. Bret tells Edge to get ready as his match is next.

Edge def. Andy Douglas

Finish comes when Edge counters out of a Double Underhook DDT into Edgecution for the three.

Bret Hart tells Christian that he’ll be in action later against CHRIS JERICHO.
Another teaser for the #1 Contender’s Battle Royal later tonight.
Cena is back in the isolation room and says that the time has come for him to Embrace the Hatred that everyone wants him to be consumed by.

Randy Orton def. Rey Mysterio

Great back and forth match. Rey connects with the 619 and leaps to the top rope for a West Coast Pop, but Orton rebounds and captures Mysterio in mid-leap with an RKO. Orton makes the cover and gets the three.

J.R. and King run down what we know for the Wrestlemania Card thus far. On the docket to this point is Chris Jericho versus The Undertaker, Sheamus defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton and Wade Barrett, a triple threat contest between Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara, Stone Cold Steve Austin one-on-one with Hulk Hogan, the Diva’s Open issued by Kharma, the just announced contest between Edge and Christian and of course, Cena and The Rock. The first anthem is revealed for Wrestlemania 28, and it’s “Bridge Burning” by the Foo Fighters.

Cena resigns himself to the fact that The Nexus couldn’t get the job done due to youth and inexperience. Cena decides he needs to rally around some seasoned veterans and high-profile names who know how to handle themselves in the ring, the bulb continues to flicker as we fade to black for another commercial.

Back from break and lightning flashes across the screen, snow and static cuts in and out before cutting away to the test pattern again. The word “UNSTOPPABLE” blinks on the screen while “03/12/12” scrolls across. The signal cuts out and the promo fades to black.

Chris Jericho def. Christian via Count Out

Another solid contest between familiar opponents, finish comes when Jericho attempts the Codebreaker, but Christian blocks and rolls from the ring, content to leave and take the ten count. Edge meets Christian on the entrance ramp and Spears him for the second time tonight.

Another promo for the WWE Draft-- “SHAKING THINGS UP IN THREE WEEKS”.
Another teaser for the Rock addressing the WWE Universe live later tonight.
John Cena continues to stay in his cubicle, and resolves that there’s a poison, a venom running through his veins that surpasses even hatred. Cena says if he ever hopes to overcome the Rock at Wrestlemania he needs to launch a movement even more sinister than his efforts to rally The Nexus. Cena’s countenance shifts to an ashy determination.

CM Punk def. The Undertaker to remain WWE Champion

Undertaker nearly takes the title away, but the finish comes as Taker attempts a Chokeslam and is met by a Codebreaker by Jericho. Jericho rolls out of the ring, allowing Punk to polish off the Deadman with the GTS to win the match and retain the championship. After the match, Punk salutes Jericho as he celebrates in the ring.

Cena appears to be growing more and more conflicted with the decision he’s about to make. Cena says he’s been a product of the system for too long, but he can’t make the transition on his own. He says he’ll need the assistance of those in high places to pull this off as we go to our final commercial.

HHH wins 25 Man Over the top Battle Royal for #1 Contention of the WWE Title
The match comes down to the Game, Miz, Morrison, Kane and the boycotting Dolph Ziggler, who has decided at the last minute to end his embargo for a shot at the Title. Hunter dumps Ziggler and Miz both over the top while Kane tosses Morrison. Finish comes when Triple H pedigrees Kane and clotheslines him over the top rope. CM Punk and Triple H meet with a staredown in the middle of the ring. The WWE Champion raises the title over his head defiantly as The Cerebral Assassin glances longingly at the belt. THE ROCK’s music hits and Punk and Hunter clear the ring in opposite directions. Hunter heads back up the ramp and cross paths with The Rock on the way up. Punk exits through the crowd.

The Rock cuts a lengthy promo on how Cena’s biggest mistake was that he didn’t get the job done. The Great One tells Cena that it doesn’t matter what he has planned. Rock tells Cena that there is no way that he’s marching into his backyard at the Biggest Show on Earth and dropping a loss in the Main Event.

Cena appears on the titantron and addresses The Rock to his face. Cena says that for the longest time he was unsure that he could sink to the depths necessary to ensure triumph at Wrestlemania, but with the assistance of those around him. The objective is within reach. Cena tells The Rock to lay low for the next few weeks because he will in fact succumb to depths even more sinister than The Nexus to do what needs to be done. Cena says he needs to ratchet up the aggression, dial up the fury, and push the envelope to the extent that certain actions committed will reach points that even Cena will regret.

Cena rips off the Nexus T-shirt and KEVIN NASH leans into John Cena’s dimly light cubicle. Cena vows “No More Gray Area, from this point on, John Cena trades in black and yellow for BLACK AND WHITE...FOR LIFE.” Unbelievable. John Cena, with the help of Kevin Nash has resurrected THE nWo. Cena says that the ground rules from now until Wrestlemania are plain and simple. JOIN OR DIE. Cena pulls the plug on his dimly-lit panic room and casts the ENTIRE Target Center in a flood of grayscale. The Rock’s microphone screeches and shorts out, effectively silencing any last thoughts The Rock may have wished to share with those in attendance. RAW is at the mercy of the New World Order as the Road to Wrestlemania soldiers on as Supershow goes off the air.

Elimination Chamber PPV Fantasy Card Results 02.19.12

The 2012 Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View opens with the usual video package and we're live from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI as Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Joey Styles and Matt Striker discuss the Road to Wrestlemania.

Extreme Elimination Chamber Match for the ECW Championship: Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu vs. The Sandman vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Rhyno vs. Cactus Jack

The chamber is lowered for what is sure to be the most violent Elimination Chamber Match ever witnessed. The walls are LINED with various assorted weapons, most of which are certain to be used in the course of the contest. Cactus Jack enters first with Barbie and is locked into his pod, guaranteed the final entrant by virtue of his win last Wednesday. Rob Van Dam is out next and is locked into his pod. The Sandman enters next, the Singapore Cane dangling ominously at his side. Tommy Dreamer comes out and he too is locked into the fourth pod. Sabu is out next and sets up his table in the corner as Rhyno makes his way to the ring, brandishing the pool cue.

Rhyno takes a swing, but Sabu ducks and comes back with a Spinning Wheel Kick and a Springboard Back Elbow. Sabu grabs a steel chair from the wall and throws it at Rhyno's face. Rhyno responds with a Gore through Sabu’s table. Rhyno rips a pair of handcuffs from the chamber walls and cuffs Sabu to the ring post. Sabu throws a few futile kicks to fight Rhyno off, but the Man-Beast responds with repeated shots to the face with a lead pipe. Rhyno picks up the chair and begins wailing on ECW’s resident maniac until he falls to the floor in a heap. Finally Rhyno tears an extension cord from the wall and begins choking Sabu out when the buzzer goes off and out steps The Sandman.

Sandman charges and begins laying into Rhyno with the Singapore Cane, Rhyno takes one shot squarely between the eyes, dropping him to the floor. Sandman frees Sabu from the handcuffs and is promptly laid into by a furious Sabu. Sandman grabs a crutch from the wall and begins working over Sabu. Sandman begins choking out Sabu with the crutch then adds his Singapore Cane for extra leverage. Sandman slips into position and drops Sabu with a crutch/cane-aided White Russian Leg Sweep on the Steel grate, but still only gets a two count. Sandman turns his attention to Rhyno, but Rhyno has already returned to his feet and Gores Sandman through the glass of his vacant pod. The timer goes off again and out comes Tommy Dreamer.

The Innovator of Violence enters with his cheese grater and begins grinding it into Rhyno’s skull. Rhyno and Sabu both are a mess of blood at this point. Sabu crawls back to his feet and flies across the chamber to drive a steel chair into Dreamer’s face out of desperation. Blood dripping from his head at an alarming rate, Sabu snags a garbage can and begins working over all three of his opponents. Sabu gets a hold of a two-by-four and sets it ablaze. Now wielding a flaming piece of wood, ECW’s Death Machine plants it directly into the face of Dreamer and Sandman before breaking it over Rhyno’s head, busting him open.

Sabu takes hold of Rhyno’s pool cue and grinds the sawed end into his forehead before grabbing the steel chair again and delivering an Arabian Skullcrusher. Sabu sets up the steel chair and executes a Triple Jump Moonsault from the chair to the wall of the chamber and back to Rhyno. WOW. A bloody Sabu makes the cover and picks up the three count just as the timer goes off again and out comes Rob Van Dam.

RVD has made a few tweaks to the design of his weapon, wrapping his steel chair in BARBED WIRE. Van Dam comes out swinging, nailing Dreamer and Sandman and drawing blood on both before thwacking Sabu in the face with a resounding shot. Sabu’s very quickly working his way up the Muta Scale in this match, pouring blood onto the canvas the longer he stays in. RVD goes for a Van Daminator, but Dreamer responds by smacking Van Dam in the leg during the attempted spin kick. Mr. ECW writhes on the floor as Dreamer drags him to the corner and ties him to the Tree of Woe. Dreamer sets the Barbed Wire chair in front of Van Dam’s face and baseball slides to drive the weapon squarely into RVD’s skull.

Dreamer begins working over RVD with the Cheese Grater when The Sandman returns to his feet and snaps his Singapore Cane in half over the back of Dreamer’s head. Sandman struggles to the top turnbuckle, then climbs to the top of his pod. Sandman stuns the Milwaukee crowd by tumbling from the top with a Rolling Rock Senton, landing on both Van Dam and Dreamer. The buzzer goes off a final time, and out steps Cactus Jack twirling Barbie between his fingers.

Sandman crawls to the cover and collects a three count to eliminate Dreamer. Cactus takes RVD, Sandman and Sabu broadside with swings to the midsection, drawing yet more blood. Sabu takes the crutch and snaps it over Cactus’ face. Van Dam answers by blasting a fire extinguisher into Foley’s face. Sabu finds some lighter fluid and sets another table ablaze. Sandman hits a DDT on Cactus through the flaming table and Cactus rolls away, clutching his face, blood pouring from between his fingers.

Sandman makes the cover, but incredibly, Cactus Jack kicks out at two. Cactus returns to his feet and drives Sandman head first into another pod, drawing yet more blood. Foley grabs a stop sign and imprints Sandman’s face in it before pulling out Mr. Socko, wrapping him in Barbed Wire and applying the Mandible Claw. Sandman refuses to quit, but eventually succumbs when Cactus switches Socko to the upper jaw. Three bloody combatants, Cactus Jack, Rob Van Dam and a still very much crimson Sabu, remain.

As a last-ditch effort, Sabu struggles to his feet, places a bleeding Van Dam in the corner and throws himself, and a chair at RVD in an attempted Air Sabu, but RVD collapses to the mat, sending Sabu careening to the buckle, and out to the steel grate. RVD helps himself back to his feet and rolls Sabu back into the ring. RVD climbs the turnbuckle, then the pod to execute a Ten-Star Frog Splash and picks up the duke. It’s now down to RVD and Cactus Jack. The “E-C-Dub” and “THIS IS AWESOME” chants are REALLY starting to fire up now.

Both men return to their feet and there’s a brief staredown before they lock up again. Cactus grabs a bullhorn and takes RVD upside the temple with it. The Hardcore Legend produces a set of bolt cutters from the wall and breaks the lock on the chamber door. Cactus Jack goes to the entrance ramp and brings back five more tables, setting them up end to end in the center of the ring. Cactus then goes to the far wall and grabs the five sandbags that have hung ominously since the beginning of the contest. From each of the bags, Foley dumps out THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of THUMBTACKS onto the tables. Cactus rolls the unconscious RVD onto the tables and climbs the chamber walls to the top of one of the pods. Cactus stands atop the pod and signals “BANG BANG” before leaping from the top of the chamber through the thumbtack-laden tables with a Diving Elbow Drop onto Van Dam. Cactus makes the exhaustive cover as the “HOLY $#@%” chants flood the Bradley Center and picks up the final three count.

Winner and NEW ECW World Champion: CACTUS JACK

After the match, Foley is helped back to his feet and handed his new ECW Championship, Cactus has barely enough time to celebrate before Kurt Angle hits the entrance ramp for a staredown with the new Champion. Foley points to the Wrestlemania 28 sign, but as he turns around to face Kurt again, MARK HENRY’s music hits and The World’s Strongest Man storms to the ring, slamming the Chamber door behind him. Henry clubs Cactus in the temple then drops him with The World’s Strongest Slam. Henry rips off his “Hall of Pain” T-shirt to reveal an “ECW” shirt underneath. Mark Henry has defected to ECW! Henry points to the Wrestlemania sign and locks into a staredown of his own with Kurt Angle.

We go backstage with Jack Korpela and Sheamus. The World Heavyweight Champion vows to be the Last Man Standing tonight, but is interrupted by The Undertaker. The two have another staredown before Taker casts a sinister grin and walks away.

We get a retrospective package of how Cena came to take charge of the Nexus, his militant strategy, and how last week it all fell apart. Cena tells the WWE Universe that IF The Rock makes it to Wrestlemania, he will be given the opportunity at the richest prize in the business, because he’s leaving Elimination Chamber as the new WWE Champion, with or without the Nexus.

WWE United States Championship Match: Alex Riley vs. Jack Swagger

We go to the ring and out first comes challenger Jack Swagger. U.S. Champion Alex Riley is out next. Before the bell can ring, however, the proceedings are interrupted by Bret Hart. Bret acknowledges that in the midst of the Championship Chase leading up to last year’s TLC, someone got lost in the shuffle and never was granted their rematch clause. Out comes ZACK RYDER and we now have a Triple Threat Match. The bell rings and we’re under way.

Riley and Ryder double team Swagger to start, hitting a double lifting DDT. Riley sets up for an A-Bomb, but Ryder hits a Diving Neckbreaker from the top rope and picks up a two count before Riley interrupts the fall. Riley attempts another A-Bomb on Ryder, but Swagger comes out of nowhere with a flying tackle to Riley’s knee, sending the champion writhing to the outside.

Ryder attacks Swagger with a flying forearm and another elbow smash as Swagger backs into a corner. Zack drills Swagger with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker and goes for a cover but only gets 2. Ryder goes for a Dropkick from the top rope, but Swagger catches him in mid-air and locks in an Ankle Lock. Ryder struggles then counters out, sending Swagger crashing to the arena floor. Swagger climbs back in and is met with a Swinging Neckbreaker attempt, but rolls through and counters with a Running Powerslam for two. Swagger locks in an Abdominal Stretch, but Ryder fights out with a Hip Toss and hits a somersault plancha on a fallen Riley on the outside.

Ryder rolls back in and throws a double knee to a charging Swagger. Ryder hits a diving leg drop from the top rope, but Swagger gets his foot on the bottom rope to stop the count. Riley rolls into the ring and Ryder connects with The Broski Boot. Ryder sets up for the Rough Ryder, but Riley moves, sending Ryder into the corner. With both men down, Swagger hits a Corner Slingshot Splash on both. Swagger makes the cover on Riley, but only gets a near fall.

Swagger goes for a Gutwrench Powerbomb on Ryder, but Riley hits a chop block out of desperation, sending Ryder flying and Swagger crumbling to the mat. Riley makes the cover but gets only two. Riley hits a Spinebuster on Swagger, but doesn’t get the desired effect as the knee buckles halfway through. Riley tries to beat some feeling back into his knee then sets Swagger up for the A-Bomb and connects. Riley makes the cover, but Swagger gets the shoulder up. Riley slowly gets back to his feet, but Swagger picks the Ankle and applies the Ankle Lock. Swagger seems destined to take the U.S. Title back to ECW with him when Ryder hits a Springboard Rough Ryder from the outside. Ryder makes the cover of Swagger and picks up the three count.

Winner and NEW United States Champion: ZACK RYDER

After the match, Ryder helps Riley back to his feet, but an injured and frustrated Riley isn’t having it. Riley shoves off, refusing assistance, slaps Ryder across the face, then drops the new United States Champion with a third A-Bomb, before hobbling away from the ring in disgust. This has been a rough night for new champions thus far.

We go backstage with Kane, who says that no one knows The Undertaker any better than he does and promises to end the Streak after knocking off his obstacles in the Fatal Four Way Elimination Match.

Randy Orton is in his dressing room, in a practical trance while focusing on the Chamber Match tonight.

WWE Tag Team Titles: Kings of Wrestling vs. American Wolves vs. MCMG
We go back to ringside and The Kings of Wrestling enter first, determined to win back the tag titles taken from them at TLC. Out next is MCMG followed by Davey Richards, who announces that Eddie Edwards will not be able to compete tonight and therefore Richards will defend the titles solo tonight. The bell rings and we’re underway. Alex Shelley throws a surprise calf kick and drops Richards with a Backpack Stunner before Hero jumps in and attempts Death Is Welcome, but Shelley counters with a Shiranui for two.

Shelley attempts It Came From Japan, but Richards counters back and locks in a Kimura Neckscissor. Hero breaks up the hold and drops Richards with The Rubik’s Cube for two. Claudio tags in and immediately drops Richards with Swiss Death and MCMG charges the ring, taking The Kings to the outside.

After several minutes of brawling, Richards shows up and clotheslines both Kings over the barricade and into the crowd. MCMG runs back to the ring, and EDDIE EDWARDS staggers back to the ring and begins throwing punches with both Sabin and Shelley. The numbers game eventually catches up and Shelley whips Edwards to the corner to a waiting Sabin. Sabin sets up for a Powerbomb and Shelley hits Sliced Bread to complete Made in Detroit. Sabin makes the cover on Edwards and picks up the three count.

Winners and NEW WWE Tag Team Champions: MCMG

After the match, The Kings storm back into the ring and destroy Shelley with a Helicopter Crash before flattening Sabin with KRS-ONE and KRS-TWO. Davey Richards comes back to the ring and begins berating Eddie for jumping into a match he wasn’t prepared to compete in. Richards drops Edwards with Hammer of the Gods and leaves him for dead.

A promo runs for Wrestlemania, which is now “42 DAYS AWAY”

Another teaser for the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the next inductee to be announced tomorrow night on RAW.

Chris Jericho is backstage with Jeremy Borash. Jericho tells JB that upon his return, he promised that the old guard would fall, and that his arrival would signal the end of the world as everyone knew it. Jericho says tonight is step one, because the world as everyone knows it is a world where The Undertaker is still undefeated at Wrestlemania. Jericho glares at Borash and says simply, “No More” before walking off.

CM Punk is in the catering area, and crosses paths with The Undertaker. Punk tells Taker to his face that it’s in his best interest to keep his distance from the WWE Championship Match tonight if he hopes to have a shot at it tomorrow on RAW. Punk says it doesn’t matter either way, because the title’s not going anywhere. Punk tells Undertaker to Rest In Peace tonight, since tomorrow night he’ll be Going to Sleep.

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio

We go to the ring for the next contest and Ricardo Rodriguez is introduced to announce Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio emerges in a yellow Lamborghini Murcielago and makes his way down to the ring. Christian comes down to ringside in support of Edge, clearly still troubles by the numerous errors that sabotaged Edge in previous weeks. Finally, Edge’s music hits and The Rated R Superstar heads down to the ring and pats Christian assuredly on the shoulder before sliding into the ring to a HUMONGOUS pop.

The bell rings and they lock up. They go to the corner and the ref separates them. Del Rio with a cheap shove, Edge responds with a slap to the face and Del Rio charges the corner with a flurry of fists. Edge hits a back drop, and Del Rio takes him back to the corner for a series of kicks to the arm and shoulder. Del Rio charges, but Edge hits another back drop to the arena floor in front of Christian, but Christian begs off and has vowed not to get involved.

Edge drops to the outside in pursuit of Del Rio, but Alberto hits a drop toe hold, throwing Edge face first into the ringpost. Del Rio rolls Edge back into the ring and gets a two count. Del Rio sets up for a Fireman’s Carry and drops to a Double Knee Gutbuster for another two. Del Rio goes for a German Suplex, but Edge rolls through with a Victory Roll for another near fall. Edge breaks the fall and locks in a Camel Clutch. Del Rio fights out and drops to his back to break the hold.

Edge scales the turnbuckle and attempts a Missile Dropkick, but Del Rio answers with a Step-Up Enziguri for another near fall. Del Rio continues working over Edge’s arm and shoulder, choking Edge on the bottom rope by stepping on his injured arm and surgically-repaired neck. Del Rio attempts a Rope Hung Senton, but Edge dodges, sending Del Rio crashing to the floor. Edge charges now and nails Del Rio with a Diving Spear Plancha.

Del Rio climbs back into the ring and is met with a Spinning Heel Kick for two. Del Rio returns to his feet and eats a Big Boot. Edge tries a Half-Nelson Bulldog, but Del Rio blocks and answers with a Backstabber for two-and-a-half. Del Rio hits a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker, but Edge kicks out again. Growing increasingly frustrated, Del Rio lifts Edge into a Military Press and drops into a Bridging German Suplex for another two count. In disbelief, Del Rio begins arguing with the official, which opens the door for Edge to drop Del Rio with a Downward Spiral for two.

Edge lines up in the corner for a Spear, but Del Rio has it scouted, landing a Jumping Armbreaker. Del Rio locks in a Cross Armbreaker, but Edge fights to the bottom rope and reverses the momentum into position for a sharpshooter that Edge quickly shifts into an Edgecator. Del Rio struggles to the bottom rope. Christian paces nervously at ringside, trying desperately not to get involved in the proceedings.

Del Rio tries to lock in the Cross Armbreaker again, but Edge rolls through and lands an Edge-O-Matic for another two count before Ricardo Rodriguez lays Del Rio’s foot across the bottom rope. Edge continues the momentum with a flapjack and an Electric Chair Drop, but the issues with Edge’s arm prevent him from capitalizing. Del Rio locks in the Cross Armbreaker a third time, and it seems that the match will at last be awarded to Del Rio, but REY MYSTERIO and SIN CARA come down the entrance ramp brawling between each other, working their way to the ring. The distraction forces Del Rio to break the hold and begin trading blows with the other two luchadors. Del Rio takes a double Drop Toe Hold followed by a Double 619. Christian spears Ricardo Rodriguez off the ring apron to draw the referee’s attention away from Del Rio. Del Rio staggers out of the 619 and directly into the path of a waiting Spear. Edge makes the cover and collects the three count as Mysterio and Sin Cara continue to brawl on the outside. Mysterio sends Sin Cara crashing into the ringpost with a Headscissor Arm drag before retreating to the back.

Winner: EDGE

Edge celebrates in the ring, but is quickly met by Christian slamming a steel chair over his head. Christian stares stone-faced at the fallen Edge and shakes his head out of disappointment. Christian lays Edge’s head across the chair and grabs another to deliver a brain-rattling Con-Chair-To. Christian throws the chair down in disgust and walks back toward the entrance ramp without an explanation.

The lightning flashes across the screen again, static, snow and test patterns start blaring again. This time, the phrase of the week is “UNSTOPPABLE”. “03/12/12” rolls across the screen and the feed cuts to black again.

Barrett says he will roll into Wrestlemania as the #1 contender and leave as the NEW World Heavyweight Champion, whether that means going through Sheamus or ending “The Streak”. Barrett winks at the camera and heads toward the ring.

A Triple H video package runs and ends with Hunter brandishing a Sledgehammer, saying “If The Streak dies, You Die. And if...NO. WHEN I win tonight, I WILL finish it at Wrestlemania.”

Show covers Danielson and collects the three count before the next entrant can be buzzed in.

With a little less than a minute to spare, Show paces around the ring to Cody Rhodes, Mark Henry and Wade Barrett’s pods, casting a death glare on all of them. The buzzer sounds and the next man in is Wade Barrett. Rhodes is out cold and Show turns his attention back to Barrett. Show cinches in a Bearhug, but Barrett fights out and charges back in to a Reverse Powerbomb that lands Barrett on his face on the outside. Barrett traps Show in the ropes and throws a series of knee lifts capped off by a Big Boot that sends Show to the outside.
Show gets back to his feet and Barrett goes for an overhand shot, but Show blocks it, drags Barrett over the ropes and locks in an Abdominal Stretch. Show sets Barrett up with a Military Press before dropping him straight down to the steel grate. Show grabs Cody Rhodes by the throat and chokeslams him, but instead of going for the cover, Show decides to bide his time.

Show whips Barrett and Rhodes to the buckle and proceeds to smack the life out of both with lung-collapsing chest slaps. The buzzer sounds and the next man in is Mark Henry, but The World’s Strongest Man has blockaded his pod shut. The Big Show goes to another level of rage, punches a hole through the glass chamber, grabs Henry by the shoulder straps and, in an incredible show of force, pulls Mark Henry through the pod, sending shattered glass flying everywhere and leaving Henry in a puddle of blood. Adrenaline flowing, Show catches a convening Rhodes and Barrett simultaneously and spears them clear through another one of the pods, filling the chamber with more broken glass. Show crawls back to his feet, a mess of blood himself, and admires the carnage as Randy Orton looks on stoically but with an air of concern now creeping across his face.

Big Show picks Barrett and Rhodes out of the wreckage and sets up for a Double Chokeslam in front of Orton’s pod, but his victims kick his knees out from under him. Rhodes rebounds and clocks Show with a Beautiful Disaster and a bloodstained Mark Henry returns to his feet in time to deliver the World’s Strongest Slam. Barrett makes the cover and collects the three count to eliminate the Big Show.

Barrett, Rhodes and Henry all convene around Orton’s pod, just waiting for it to open. The buzzer sounds and Orton charges out of the chamber swinging for everything in sight. Orton lays out Rhodes, then Barrett, and finally Henry with stiff clotheslines. The Viper stomps a circle around Henry and connects with a Diving Knee Drop. Orton drills Cody Rhodes with an Overdrive and takes Barrett to the floor with a flurry of lefts and rights. Barrett shoves a thumb into Orton’s eye and Rhodes connects with a Diving Bulldog for two. Rhodes jumps Orton from behind and gets into position for Cross Rhodes, but the Viper counters out and drops Rhodes face-first on the steel with an RKO. Orton covers Rhodes, gets the three and we’re down to Orton and Barrett. Barrett tries crawling back to his feet and Orton lines up in the corner to attempt a Punt. Barrett catches Randy mid-charge and drops him with Winds of Change. Barrett decides that this isn’t enough and drags Orton to the top rope to attempt Wasteland. Barrett attempts to follow through, but Orton counters mid-toss into an incredible top-rope RKO on the way down. Both men motionless, the referee rules all four shoulders down and logs a simultaneous three count as both men are in pinning position.

Winner: No Contest

After the match, officials argue over who pinned whom. Orton and Barrett both eventually get to their feet and claim victory. Theodore Long enters with Sheamus at his side and tells them that since no one can reach an agreement on a clear-cut winner, Sheamus has graciously decided to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against both Randy Orton and Wade Barrett in a Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania.

Del Rio storms into Bret Hart’s office and demands his triple threat match with Mysterio and Sin Cara at Wrestlemania. At Wrestlemania 28, it will be Alberto Del Rio versus Sin Cara versus Rey Mysterio.

Hardy hesitates for a split second then delivers a mind-bending Swanton Bomb from the top of the tron through the stretcher holding McIntyre, splitting it in half. The impact causes the floor panel to give way, sending both men underneath the stage. UNBELIEVABLE. Officials and EMTs rush the scene to examine the carnage. Two more fresh stretchers are loaded up with both men being loaded into respective ambulances and carried from the arena.

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler reiterate that the WWE Championship Chase continues tomorrow night and whether it ends up being for the WWE Championship or not CM Punk will go one-on-one with The Undertaker.

After the match, Jericho helps Michaels back to his feet and congratulates him on one hell of a match. Michaels offers a handshake and Jericho accepts. HBK receives a standing ovation as Y2J helps him to the back for medical attention. It will now be Chris Jericho versus The Undertaker for the opportunity to end “The Streak” at Wrestlemania.

Styles, Striker, J.R. and The King revisit what has been a wild ride thus far and look ahead to how the Road to Wrestlemania is heating up.

Already, we know that Jericho and The Undertaker will go head to head for The Streak, a Diva’s Open Challenge has been initiated, Alberto Del Rio will square off with Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio and Sheamus has agreed to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton and Wade Barrett. It also appears that Kurt Angle and Mark Henry have staked their claim to Mick Foley’s newly won ECW Championship. All that remains is to find out if in fact Sheamus will defend the title or if The Undertaker will be pulling double duty at Wrestlemania. Plus, who will be headed to The Grandest Stage of them all as the defending WWE Champion? Both questions will be answered in the next several minutes.

Backstage with The Miz, who reminisces on how he headlined Wrestlemania just last year and successfully defended his WWE Championship not once, but twice in the same night. He vows not to be denied a repeat at the top.

Last Man Standing Match for the World Title: Sheamus vs. The Undertaker

Out first comes the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus to a huge pop. After a pause, the lights go down and The Undertaker emerges to another respectable pop from the crowd.

We get formal ring introductions and an explanation of the rules before the bell. Sheamus takes Taker broadside with a nasty right hook. The Undertaker casts a death glare at The Celtic Warrior and beings throwing soup bones left and right, but Sheamus fires right back with another salvo that pushes The Undertaker into the corner. Sheamus works over The Deadman in the corner, driving him to the mat until the ref forces a split. Taker fights back out with more fists until Sheamus answers with a low blow. Taker stays down for a count of six before returning to his feet.

The Undertaker brawls back with a Heart Punch and a Dropkick before rocketing himself at Sheamus with a Flying Clothesline. Sheamus retreats to the corner and Taker throws more fists at Sheamus’ temple. Sheamus fights back out and drapes The Undertaker between the ropes for a series of Irish Hammer Blows. Sheamus drills Taker with a Celtic Cross and Taker gets back to his feet at eight.

Undertaker battles back with a flurry of ballistic punches to the temple, dropping Sheamus like an Irish redwood. Taker locks in Hell’s Gate and Sheamus taps furiously, but this is a Last Man Standing Match and the fall doesn’t register. Taker chokes the life out of Sheamus and waits for the official’s count. Sheamus lies motionless through a count of seven, then forces himself back to his feet using the ropes for leverage. Taker shakes his head out of sheer disbelief.

Sheamus fights back to his feet and captures a charging Undertaker with a Fallaway Slam from the ring to the floor. Taker gets back to his feet on time, but the damage appears to be done. Sheamus goes for a Rolling Fireman’s Carry Slam, but Taker escapes and throws Sheamus to the outside. Sheamus comes back into the ring and Taker charges, but The Great White has him scouted with an Irish Curse Backbreaker. Sheamus repeats the impact three more times before dropping the Deadman to the mat. Taker gets back to his feet at the count of seven, but how much more he can take remains in question.

Sheamus attempts a Front Powerslam, but Taker counters out and shoves The Celtic Warrior shoulder first to the buckle. Taker applies a kneebar to keep Sheamus off his feet, and follows with a Sidewalk Slam. Taker then proceeds to throw the kitchen sink at Sheamus, starting with Snake Eyes and a rebound Big Boot. Taker awaits the count but Sheamus recovers by five. Taker connects with Old School then drills Sheamus with a Last Ride, but Sheamus gets back up at the count of nine.

Sheamus answers back with a Battering Ram from the top rope that keeps Taker down for a count of seven before he sits back up. Sheamus goes into a Frenzy of slaps and spinning backfists, punctuating with a War Sword Irish Axe Handle. Taker returns to his feet at six. Undertaker sets up for a Chokeslam, but Sheamus dodges and comes back with a Brogue Kick. The blow keeps Taker off his feet for seven, maybe eight.

Growing increasingly frustrated, Sheamus sets up for the Fiery Red Hand, but Taker counters with a Dragon Sleeper. Sheamus counters back and drills Taker with a High Cross. The impact is nearly enough, but Taker is ruled back on his feet at nine and a half. Wondering what it will take, Sheamus approaches the wounded Undertaker and walks directly into a desperation Tombstone Piledriver. The ref begins the count as Taker remains exasperated on his knees. Taker pulls himself back to his feet and the lights go out.

As the lights come back up, smoke is filling the entranceway as a lone druid heads toward the ring with a casket marked “19-1” on the lid and an urn placed atop the casket. As the casket reaches ringside, the druid takes up the urn and heads into the ring. The druid signals for a perplexed Undertaker to open the casket. The Deadman complies and inside lies...THE UNDERTAKER?!! Taken aback, The Undertaker looks to the druid for answers and is met with an urn squarely across the temple. The druid then helps Sheamus back to his feet as the ref has no choice but to log the ten count and declare Sheamus the winner.

Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion: SHEAMUS

After the match, The druid tosses down the urn and removes the hood of his cloak to reveal--none other than CHRIS JERICHO. Jericho removes the robes down to his suit and grabs a mic. Jericho leans down and whispers to The Undertaker that “...At Wrestlemania, it will be the end of the world as you, these fans, the WWE, and everyone else has come to know it.” Jericho drops the mic and storms off.

Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship: CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. John Morrison vs. The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth

The chamber is brought down for the final time this evening. All glass panels in the pods have been replaced and we’re ready to go. John Morrison enters first and is locked in his pod, guaranteed the final spot in the Chamber match. The Miz enters next and he’s locked into his pod. John Cena enters next and he’s locked in. R-Truth enters fourth and is locked into his pod. The crowd derides Truth, chanting “MILWAUKEE” as officials lock him in. Dolph Ziggler is out next followed by WWE Champion CM Punk. It will be Punk and Ziggler starting things out.

Ziggler charges in and is met with a Roundhouse Kick. Before collapsing to the mat, Punk manages to grab Ziggler and put him into position for the GTS. The GTS connects and Punk makes the quick cover and gets the three count. Stunned, Ziggler yells furiously at the referee before being escorted through the chamber door. Punk leaps up on the top turnbuckle and lounges on the top rope nonchalantly as he waits for the next entrant in the Chamber. A “CM PUNK” chant swells through the Bradley Center as the minutes tick down. Finally, the buzzer reaches zero and the next man into the contest is The Miz.

Miz and Punk begin trading blows and Punk executes a Double Underhook Backbreaker for two. Punk follows up with a series of back elbows to the Miz before attempting a Springboard Crossbody that lands him on the steel grate when the Miz dodges.

Truth continues the onslaught, catching Punk with a Heel Kick Enziguri and a Scissor Kick for two and a half. Truth tries to continue his momentum with a Reverse STO, but Miz uses the ropes for leverage, sending Truth crashing to the steel. Miz capitalizes on the opening by dropping Truth face first on the steel with a Skull-Crushing Finale. Miz covers Truth and picks up the three count. The timer goes off and out comes John Cena. Cena throws shoulder blocks left and right before planting Miz and setting up for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Before Cena can execute, however, Punk answers back with a Step-Up Enziguri. Punk whips Miz to the buckle and connects with a Shining Wizard and a Running Bulldog. Punk cinches in a Koji Clutch on Miz, but Cena breaks up the hold and plants Punk with a Throwback. Cena makes the cover, but only gets two.

Morrison glides across the ring taking out opponents left and right with Shining Wizards, Enziguris and Moonsault Side Slams. Morrison gets the drop on Punk with a Corkscrew Moonsault and nearly upends the WWE Champion, but Punk gets his foot on the bottom rope. Morrison climbs to the top of the pod and shocks the crowd with arguably the high spot of the night, an inconceivable 900 Splash to a prone Miz on the mat below. Morrison lies helplessly across the Miz and picks up the impressive three count.

Before Morrison can regain his bearings, Cena locks in the STFU and an unresponsive Morrison is rendered unable to continue. We’re down to Punk and Cena for the WWE Championship on the Road to Wrestlemania. Punk throws a series of Mongolian Chops and connects with a Springboard Clothesline on the outside before cinching in The Anaconda Vice. After several moments of struggle, Cena powers out and answers back with a vile hip toss and a dropkick for two. Cena hits a one-hand bulldog and connects with a top-rope leg bulldog for another near fall. Cena throws a flurry of shoulder blocks and locks in the STFU again.
Punk valiantly struggles to the bottom rope and breaks the hold. Perplexed, Cena hits a Spinning Protobomb and caps off with an F-U. Before Cena can make the cover, THE ROCK’S MUSIC HITS and Milwaukee flies into a FRENZY. Cena shrugs it off as another false alarm as we saw at The Rumble, but moments later turns around to find THERE WAS NO FALSE ALARM. The Chamber door was left open during Morrison’s elimination and The Rock swiftly made his entrance. Cena is met with a thunderous Rock Bottom and the Milwaukee crowd is electrified with The People’s Elbow to John Cena.

Punk returns to his feet, exits the Chamber Door and finds another table. Punk sets the table up and rolls an unconscious Cena onto the table. The WWE Champion then scales the ropes, up onto the pod and signals skyward “This One’s for you, Randy”. Punk wows the crowd with a glorious Macho Man Elbow Drop from the top of the chamber through the table, leaving it in splinters and both combatants in shambles. Punk desperately crawls to the cover and the referee exhaustively logs the final three count.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: CM Punk

After the match, confetti flies in celebration of Punk’s victory, but the reigning champion is in no condition to celebrate. Officials drape the WWE Championship over Punk’s chest and help him to his feet. With the last of his energy, Punk pulls himself to the middle rope and hoists the WWE Championship high. Pyro explodes around the chamber as confetti continues to shower the Bradley Center. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome the WWE Universe to the Road to Wrestlemania as CM Punk gets his second wind, screaming “BEST IN THE WORLD” into the camera as Elimination Chamber fades to black.

WWE Superstars and Smackdown Fantasy Card Results 02.17.12

WWE Superstars Tapings:

Alex Shelley def. Sin Cara with Shell Shock

Jack Swagger def. Delirious with a Gutwrench Powerbomb

Chris Jericho def. The Miz with a Codebreaker in an excellent main event.

Tonight’s WWE Smackdown comes to us live from the Save Mart Arena in Fresno, CA as Josh Matthews and Matt Striker welcome us to the show. Tonight, the Chamber participants from RAW will go one-on-one in individual matches with Chamber participants from Smackdown and an Eight-Man Tag Team Match will be the main event featuring World Champion Sheamus, Chris Jericho, Edge and United States Champion Alex Riley against Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Batista and Drew McIntyre.

DEGENERATION-X enters, sending the crowd into a FRENZY. The jokes are flying fast and fierce when the subject of Sunday and Wrestlemania comes up. Triple H says that Shawn was right to retire after The Undertaker beat him the second time, because if given the chance, Hunter says that not only couldn’t HBK end the streak, he couldn’t muster the same magic that he did in the first two contests.
Shawn tells The Game that he must still be lightheaded from Monday when Kane squeezed the blood out of his brain during his attempted chokeslam. HBK reminds him that he rescued The Cerebral Assassin from eating canvas when he made Kane eat the sole of his boot instead. The Game says he appreciated the gesture, but insists that if anyone is going to end The Streak, it’ll be him. Theodore Long interrupts and suggests putting the theory to the test. Tonight, there will be a tag team match between DX and the Brothers of Destruction. Hunter says he will demonstrate his dominance by personally defeating the Undertaker in the middle of the ring tonight. Michaels gets in Hunter’s face and tells him, “Only if I tag you in first.” Another staredown between the longtime frenemies as we go to commercial.

Wade Barrett def. CM Punk when The Undertaker interfered

Punk sets up for the GTS on Barrett, but the lights go out, the gong sounds and the lights come back up with Taker in the ring. Punk and the Deadman begin exchanging blows before the WWE Champion stuns Taker with a roundhouse kick and connects the GTS. Punk celebrates and steps into the arms of a waiting Barrett, who plants him with Wasteland for the three count. After the match, a livid Punk gets back to his feet and locks the unconscious Undertaker into the Anaconda Vice and fights off security for a few minutes before leaving of his own accord. Officials help The Undertaker back to his feet as we go to break.

Back from intermission and Punk is in Theodore Long’s office. Punk says that he’s been putting this off for a long time, but says that Taker has forced his hand. Punk says if he wants to interfere in the WWE Champion’s matches, let him have a match with him and get it out of the way. Punk pleads with Theodore Long to let The Deadman appear on RAW Supershow next week and Teddy complies. Punk thanks him and says that WHEN he walks into RAW next week as the WWE Champion, he fully intends to leave the same way and be done with The Undertaker once and for all.

John Morrison def. Cody Rhodes

Solid match filled with great technical mat work and countless reversals, including Morrison rolling out of the way of the Beautiful Disaster and countering with his own Flying Chuck. Finish came when Cody set up for Cross Rhodes, only to have Morrison counter out and respond with JCM and Starship Pain for the win.

The Road to Wrestlemania/Chamber footage rolls for the final time.

Striker and Matthews run down the PPV Card. Again, the anthem is Sixx:AM’s “This Is Gonna Hurt”.

R-Truth runs into Wade Barrett backstage and tells him that regardless of whether Barrett wins the World Title in the Chamber or not, he won’t be the Main Event at Wrestlemania, saying that that spot is reserved for the Dolphin-drawn chariot that will carry both Lil’ Jimmy and your NEW WWE Champion, R-Truth to ringside. Barrett appears thoroughly perplexed as we go back to ringside.

Mark Henry def. R-Truth

Truth goes for the Truth Serum, but Henry has it scouted, grabbing the top rope for leverage. Henry eventually captures Truth and plants him with the World’s Strongest Slam for the three.

DX, no longer on speaking terms, heads to the ring as unwilling partners in their tag team contest with the Brothers of Destruction, next.

DeGeneration X def. The Brothers of Destruction

Triple H tags in HBK after dropping a still-wounded Undertaker with a Pedigree, and Michaels responds by clocking The Game with Sweet Chin Music. Kane attempts to Chokeslam Shawn, but Michaels counters out and lands another Superkick. Finally, HBK tunes up the band and flattens The Deadman with one final Sweet Chin Music before picking up the three count. HBK grabs a mic and addresses the crowd, saying if there was still any lingering doubt that he could handle his business in the ring, he’ll see Kane and Triple H on Sunday and then turns his attention to the downed Undertaker and whispers “I’ll see you at Wrestlemania, Mr. Perfect.” before slamming down the mic and storming out of the arena.

Another teaser for the eight-man tag match as we go back to commercial.

Randy Orton confronts John Cena backstage. The Viper tells Cena that just for the record, he would have knocked off Cena tonight even if Cena still had his cronies in the Nexus. Orton says that the only difference is that now tonight’s match will end even quicker.

The Big Show def. Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler tries to get an early jump on Show with a Corner Splash before the bell, but Show turns around in time to catch Ziggler in mid-air with a WMD to the temple. The impact sends Ziggler into a helicopter spin, landing face-first on the canvas. Show makes the cover and collects the academic three count. After the uh...match, Show grabs a mic and advises Sheamus and The Undertaker to take notes, because regardless of who emerges from the Last Man Standing Match as Champion, the only thing that will be going through their heads come Wrestlemania will be Big Show’s fist.

The ring is quickly cleared and Justin Roberts prepares to introduce the next contest.

Bryan Danielson def. The Miz

A decidedly longer contest and contender for match of the evening. Miz connects with SCF, but only gets a two-count as Danielson gets his foot on the bottom rope. Miz attempts again, but Danielson counters out and reverses the hold into a Skull Crushing Finale of his own. However, instead of going for the pinfall, Danielson rolls into Cattle Mutilation upon impact with the canvas and forces the submission instead.

Another Promo runs for the WWE Draft, this one reads “SHAKING THINGS UP IN THREE WEEKS” as we go to break.

Randy Orton versus John Cena ends in a No Contest

Orton attempts to connect with an RKO as Cena blocks and retreats from the ring. Miz comes to the ring and jumps Orton from behind but takes an RKO for his troubles. Cena is tossed back into the ring by Big Show and Danielson and dropped with another RKO. Orton gets dropped with Wasteland and Show proceeds to clobber both Danielson and Barrett with WMD. Show takes a Flying Chuck and a Beautiful Disaster before being dropped himself with The World’s Strongest Slam. R-Truth surprises Henry with Truth Serum before getting struck with JCM. Cody hits Cross Rhodes and Punk sneaks in drilling Cody with a GTS. Punk stands tall as the defending WWE Champion and clear owner of the momentum heading into the PPV.

Edge backstage with Christian. Edge tells Christian that as crazy as it might sound, he CAN actually forgive him for everything that’s happened since the comeback. Edge just advises Christian not to get involved unless absolutely necessary in the match with Del Rio on Sunday as we go to our final break.

Sheamus, Edge, Chris Jericho and Alex Riley def. Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Batista and Drew McIntyre

Naturally, the match boiled down to individual beefs as Edge/Del Rio, Swagger/Riley began brawling at ringside. Ricardo Rodriguez ran down to make the save, but Christian speared him on the entrance ramp. Jericho went for the finish, but was interrupted by The Undertaker. CM Punk charges to ringside to cut Taker off at the pass and soon initiates a 2-on-1 brawl between himself, Jericho and the Deadman.

Jeff Hardy jumps the barricade and drags McIntyre off the ring apron to brawl through the crowd. The referee is trying helplessly to get a foothold in the melee, but it’s a hopeless situation. The match has evaporated to Sheamus versus Batista, when suddenly the lights go down. The static, snow and test patterns start rolling across the titantron again, the word “POWER” and “03/12/12” scroll across the screen and as the lights come back up, Batista walks headlong into a Brogue Kick. The World Champion makes the cover and collects the three count for his team.

After the match, Sheamus storms down the entrance ramp and throws both Jericho and Punk to the floor in an effort to get to The Undertaker himself. Respective battles continue at ringside as Sheamus and Taker have one final staredown heading into the Last Man Standing Match at Elimination Chamber as Smackdown goes off the air in the midst of what is easily a Pier-Twelve brawl.

Christian is making his way to the ring as we take our first break.

Christian heads to the ring and tells the WWE Universe that he was thrilled to see Edge land back on his feet at the Royal Rumble and has been more than enthusiastic about trying to get him back into the title picture, but that since they won the tag team titles on the night after the Rumble, it’s all gone downhill.
Christian admits that it’s his fault that they lost the titles, it’s his fault that Edge missed out on the Chamber and it’s ultimately his fault that Edge fell out of contention for the Main Event at Wrestlemania last week. Christian says he understands that Edge might not be in a good place right at the moment, but that he is genuinely sorry for how things have fallen apart in the last three weeks and is actively searching for a way to get Edge back into the title hunt. Christian says that in the meantime, he will be in Edge’s corner against Del Rio at Elimination Chamber, albeit removed from any involvement, so as not to invite further disruptions of his progress.

The Road to Wrestlemania/Elimination Chamber video package runs again. Styles and Tazz run down the card for Elimination Chamber, which now includes NINE solid contests on the Road to Wrestlemania.

The Orient Express def. The Mexicools and The FBI

The match never had a chance. Total chaos from the outset as members of all three factions begin brawling at ringside. Finish came as legal man Kenzo Suzuki stunned Nunzio with his Rising Sun Claw Hold STO for the duke.

EMTs are still working on Edwards and the tag team champion’s status for Elimination Chamber is in SERIOUS question.

Kurt Angle storms into JBL and Heyman’s shared office and DEMANDS that he get the first shot at the new ECW Champion at Wrestlemania 28. After brief deliberation, The duo agrees to give Angle the match. However, Heyman brings it to Angle’s attention that there’s a free agent from Smackdown looking to jump ship after competing in their Chamber match Sunday, and he has more that demonstrated that he is worthy of a title shot also. Heyman insists that this free agent is a hot commodity and that they’d be foolish not to book him for the main event at Mania as well. Angle is furious at first, but complies.

Angle tells them that it doesn’t matter if he has to beat one, two or ten people to become the ECW Champion, he’ll do it. Angle says he’s desperate to be champion again, and says that at Wrestlemania, if he can’t get the job done, he’s at a point in his career where he may walk away and never look back. Angle decides to make it official, Angle says he’s leaving Wrestlemania as ECW Champion, or he’s leaving WWE, TNA, ECW, NJPW, Professional Wrestling as we know it. Angle says as far as he’s concerned, at The Showcase of the Immortals, he’s leaving as Champion or leaving Forever--RETIRING from all of it as we go to break.

Back from commercial and Heath Slater is in the ring, taunting Tazz yet again. Slater says that Tazz promised him a match last week and he’s going to make him earn his paycheck tonight. Tazz removes his suit jacket, giving way to his “13” jumpsuit and climbs into the ring. Tazz orders the ref to ring the bell and we’re underway.

Heath Slater def. Tazz via Reverse Decision

The One-Man Rock band falls victims to countless suplex variations, including the Tazz-Plex before being locked in the Tazz-Mission yet again. Slater taps out, but the Human Suplex Machine refuses to release the hold. The referee reverses the decision as more officials come down to pry Tazz off of Slater. Heath has long since passed out and has to be carried from the ring. Tazz gets on the mic and yells to Slater to remember how he asked for this match and to always remember how Tazz did this to him. Tazz tells him to NEVER insinuate that he doesn’t earn his paycheck each and every damn week again.

Sabu confronts a meditating Van Dam backstage and tells him that while they’ve known each other for years they have and have come to be longtime friends, Sunday night is ALL BUSINESS for the most extreme title in the most extreme match WWE has ever devised. Sabu tells Van Dam that he’s not thinking of anything but the ECW title come Sunday and says this knowing full well that RVD is thinking the same way. Van Dam says it’s irrelevant who comes away with #6, because this match will be so violent, everyone will come away feeling like they entered first. A half-friendly handshake as we go to commercial.

Brodie Lee def. Hardcore Holly

As always, Holly puts up a fight, but Brodie’s size advantage was enough. The Big Rig absorbed a vicious Alabama Slam and kept coming back for more. Brodie countered a second attempt into a Brodie Bomb before setting up in the corner and knocking the taste out of Bob Holly’s mouth with a Big Rig Boot for the duke. Brodie receives a prideful handshake from Holly after the match. Hardcore tells him that he’s the real deal and leaves the ring to him. Brodie leaves shortly after and has put himself into solid standing with the Land of Extreme.

Cactus Jack is in his dressing room, seated in silent contemplation as we go to break.

Rob Van Dam, Sabu and Cactus Jack def. Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman and Rhyno (Cactus Jack secures #6).

Partners begin brawling amongst each other, leaving Rhyno alone with Cactus Jack. Rhyno gears up for a Gore, but Cactus uses The Man-Beast’s momentum against him and rolling into an inside cradle for the three-count. Cactus then fights off all five participants with Barbie. Absolute chaos reigns with Paul Heyman and JBL frantically try to keep the participants separate until Sunday as ECW goes off the air.

RAW Supershow Fantasy Card Results 02.13.12

Tonight's RAW Supershow comes to us live from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, CA as Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcome us to the show. Advertised for tonight is the Six-Pack Challenge to determine who earns the #6 spot in the Elimination Chamber, The Women's Championship will be on the line and the Championship Chase for Wrestlemania continues with three more contests tonight--Chris Jericho versus Alberto Del Rio, Triple H versus Edge and Jeff Hardy versus San Diego's own REY MYSTERIO.

John Cena enters, accompanied at a distance by his cronies in the Nexus. Cena gets on the mic and berates all of them, saying that they've been nothing but a disappointment since the Survivor Series and that they've produced ZERO results or positioned themselves or Cena, for that matter, in a title picture in any capacity. Cena tells them that he's grown fatigued of being the only one that ever achieves any sort of results and says that the last two weeks in losing to the likes of Punk, Mick Foley and an injured Randy Orton was the final straw. Cena tells them that if they're not going to make the effort to help themselves, he's not going to help them either. Cena tells them that they all have ONE final chance to make an impression in singles contests tonight and says that anyone who fails will be ousted from The Nexus.

CM Punk enters and tells Cena that not only will every member of Nexus fail tonight, but says Cena will be joining them on Losers' Row when he fails to secure the final spot in the Chamber during the Six-Pack Challenge tonight. Punk says that he could take the main event or leave it tonight, because frankly, he feels confident that he can successfully defend the title from any position in the Chamber. So confident in fact, that he's willing to stake the claim that if he cannot secure the #6 spot himself, he will voluntarily enter the Chamber first and go wire to wire. Punk tells Cena to start looking for new people to align himself with, because the hollow shell that WAS The Nexus isn't cutting it. Punk tells The Undertaker that he'd better keep his distance from the contest tonight, or Sheamus will be the least of his concerns at Elimination Chamber. Punk hoists the title over his head as we go to commercial.

Rey Mysterio enters to a HUGE pop from the hometown crowd as the first of three Championship Chase Matches gets underway.

Jeff Hardy def. Rey Mysterio after Drew McIntyre interfered

The finish came when Mysterio attempted a 619, and Hardy dodges, dropping Mysterio with a Twist of Fate. Hardy attempts a Swanton Bomb, but McIntyre charges to the ring and shoves Hardy from the top to the barricade, drawing a DQ. McIntyre steps in to inflict upon Mysterio, but Rey trips up The Chosen One and connects with a 619 before walking into a shot to the head with another crutch by Sin Cara. Bret Hart and Teddy Long try to intervene and stifle the chaos, both come to the agreement that the only logical course of action is a tag team match--RIGHT NOW.

Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy def. Drew McIntyre and Sin Cara

Mysterio drops Sin Cara from the apron with a baseball slide, and sets McIntyre up for another 619. Hardy comes off the top with a Swanton and Mysterio caps it off with a Diving Headbutt for the three count. After the match, Alberto Del Rio jumps Mysterio with an Enziguri and throws Sin Cara full force into the barricade, then locks Mysterio into the Cross Armbreaker. Del Rio gets on the mic and explains his issues with both. Del Rio explains that he’s being overlooked, that everyone is clinging to Mysterio, whose time has come and passed. Del Rio says that he wasn’t in the business six months and everyone started hyping the premiere of Sin Cara as the next great luchador. Del Rio says he is incensed that he only had a six month window to make his impact and his indignance was reflected in his WWE Championship reign.

Del Rio says he’s the past, present and future of the business; but the only way he’s ever going to be at piece is if he gets the chance to put away both those who hold him down and those who threaten to drive him out. Del Rio implores the WWE Board of Directors and specifically, Vince McMahon to make a triple threat match between himself, Mysterio and Sin Cara at Wrestlemania. Before he can get a formal answer, Edge jumps through the crowd and drills Del Rio with a thunderous spear before heading back up the ramp. Bret Hart tells Del Rio to get back to his feet, because his championship chase match is next.

A teaser for the six-pack challenge later tonight as we go to break.

Chris Jericho def. Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio attempts the Cross Armbreaker, but Jericho rolls through and stuns Del Rio with a Codebreaker before applying the Walls of Jericho for the submission victory.
A teaser for the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as we go to break.

Kofi Kingston def. Husky Harris

Kofi hits Trouble In Paradise and picks up the three count within seconds of the bell ringing. Cena takes a crowbar and chokes Harris out. Cena then proceeds to rip off the turnbuckle cover and repeatedly bash Harris’ face into the steel ring until blood pours from his face. Cena caps off the beatdown by throwing Harris from the ring apron through the Spanish Announce Table with an F-U.

The 2012 Hall of Fame Inductee is announced--and it’s RAVISHING RICK RUDE.

John Morrison backstage with Jeremy Borash. Morrison tells JB that he plans on unveiling a brand new finishing maneuver tonight, and locking up the #6 spot in the Elimination Chamber.

A teaser for The United States Championship Match up next as we go to break.

Alex Riley def. Michael McGillicutty to remain United States Champion

Solid match. Riley eventually gets the better of McGillicutty with an A-Bomb for the three. Cena fumes, then strangles McGillicutty with wires from the announce table. Cena grabs the ring bell and bludgeons his second Nexus member tonight before leaving him lying in the middle of the ring. Mason Ryan is all that Cena has left before Nexus completely implodes.

The Miz is backstage and promises, not to win the six-pack challenge, but to walk into and out of Wrestlemania as the WWE Champion.

The promo for the Road To Wrestlemania/Elimination Chamber PPV airs.
Lightning flashes across the screen and we cut to the static, snow and the DGL Test Pattern. This week, the phrase “POWER” rolls across the screen, along with the date “03/12/12”. Fade to black and we go to commercial.

Evan Bourne def. Mason Ryan via DQ

Cena jumps into the ring and clobbers Bourne with a steel chair to the face, drawing a DQ and ousting the last confidant Cena had in the Nexus. Cena grabs the mic and says that he’s not going to be held down by dead weight any longer. He says he’s only invested in associates who can build off each other’s success. Cena smacks Mason Ryan across the face and is greeted by a right hook in turn. Ryan beats down on Cena, throwing fist after fist into Cena’s face until drawing blood from his former ringleader’s forehead. Mason Ryan storms off to cheers after leaving Cena lying in the ring. EMTs rush down to help Cena to his feet, but Cena fights them off and struggles back to his feet under his own power, blood dripping to the canvas with every step. Cena uses two officials for leverage to get to the back as we go to another commercial.

Back from break and Bret Hart is rushing to keep things in order, between Cena’s status for the six-pack challenge in question and the possibility of CM Punk abstaining out of indifference. Now Dolph Ziggler approaches Bret and tells him that it’s irrelevant as to whether there’s four, five or one participant in the six-pack challenge, the only thing he needs to know is that Dolph Ziggler will leave San Diego tonight as the #6 entrant in the Chamber. R-Truth sneaks up behind Ziggler and perplexes him with an off-key rendition of “San Diego Superchargers”.

Triple H def. Edge

Edge goes for a Spear, but Hunter sidesteps the Rated-R Superstar and sends him crashing into the referee. Christian hits the ring and tries to hit a Spear of his own, but Triple H dodges a second time, sending Captain Charisma squarely into Edge. Edge takes the full brunt of the Spear and the Game tosses Christian from the ring. Christian can only look on in horror as Triple H plants Edge with a Pedigree and picks up the three count to advance in the tournament. Christian goes to apologize and help Edge to his feet, but The Ultimate Opportunist shoves Christian away and traipses back up the entranceway, frustrated. Triple H gets back to his feet and is met with an attempted Codebreaker, but Hunter has it scouted and drills Jericho with a Double A Spinebuster. Kane shows up out of nowhere and sets up for a Chokeslam, but is met by Sweet Chin Music. Michaels gets in Triple H’s face and we have an intense staredown. Who will challenge the streak at Wrestlemania? The answer Sunday.

Michelle McCool is backstage rallying the troops for the Lumberjack match for the Women’s Championship up next. The mission is clear: Prevent the title from going to Kharma.

The teaser runs for the Six-Pack Challenge, but what’s the status? Can Cena compete? WILL Punk compete? Mystery looms as we go to commercial.

Kharma def. Natalya in a Lumberjack Match to become the NEW Women’s Champion

The lumberjacks simultaneously flood into the ring to try and keep the Diva’s Demolition Machine at bay, but eventually fights them all off and captures Natalya before she can escape. Kharma grabs her by the back of the head and whips her across the ring by her hair. Kharma knocks Natalya out with a spinning backfist to the temple, then drills her with an Implant Buster to pick up the three and the title. Oh, boy. The Women’s Division is in certain peril now.

Backstage cut to Cena fighting off EMTs to get back to the ring. Cena staggers past Punk and the WWE Champion resolves to compete in light of this defiance of doctor’s orders by Cena. The Six-Pack Challenge is NEXT as we go to our final break.

John Morrison def. John Cena, CM Punk, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz to secure the final spot in the Elimination Chamber.

Truth incapacitates both Miz and Ziggler with a Somersault Plancha, leaving only the champion, Cena and Morrison. The lights go out and come back up with Undertaker holding Punk in Tombstone position before dropping him to the canvas. The lights go out again and Taker is nowhere to be found, but Punk is out cold. Cena sets up for the F-U, but Morrison counters out and shoves Cena to the corner. Morrison pays homage to newest inductee Rick Rude by setting up for what appears to be The Rude Awakening, then BACKFLIPS OVER CENA planting Cena skull-first into the canvas with a vicious float-over DDT; the announcers say Morrison calls it “JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE MIND.” Morrison ascends the turnbuckle and finishes the job with Starship Pain, picking up the three and the final spot in the chamber.
Morrison grabs the mic and promises to once again outdo himself en route to winning his first ever WWE Championship and main-eventing Wrestlemania. Morrison goes to ringside, grabs Punk’s belt and climbs the buckle, celebrating with the title as RAW goes off the air.

Jericho steps on Kane’s face to demonstrate momentum heading into the Fatal Four-Way Match at EC.

Michelle McCool and several other divas holding a powwow similar to the one on ECW earlier this week, discussing the very real possibility that Kharma could leave RAW in San Diego next week as Women’s Champion and how difficult it would be for someone to step to the plate and take the title from her. McCool resolves to form a temporary alliance with any diva willing to join the cause and ensure that Natalya retains the title Monday Night.

Muhammad Hassan is backstage with The Exchange and is furious over being booked in a match with Randy Orton that he wasn’t prepared for. Teddy Long tells Hassan to get ready, because he will be in action tonight against--THE UNDERTAKER. Hassan is fuming with rage.

David Hart Smith is in the ring and says that this past Monday the WWE inducted his father, The British Bulldog, into the WWE Hall of Fame and it inspired him to step up and do his father proud by issuing a challenge for the Intercontinental Championship TONIGHT. It doesn’t take long for Shelton Benjamin to accept his challenge. The bell rings and the match is underway.

David Hart Smith def. Shelton Benjamin to become the NEW Intercontinental Champion

Good, sound technical match. Benjamin attempts a Turnbuckle Splash, but Smith dodges sending the champion crashing into the corner. Smith grabs Benjamin from behind and applies the Bulldog Bite Dragon Sleeper. Benjamin struggles and Smith lifts him into a Running Powerslam and DH Smith scores a HUGE upset victory to claim his first singles title. The emotional new champion raises his finger skyward saying “That’s for you, Dad.” After the match, Benjamin gets back to his feet and congratulates the new champion with a handshake and a pat on the back before leaving the ring.

Theodore Long is backstage in his office preparing for the Gauntlet Match later this evening when Jinder Mahal storms in and begins a tirade on how Hassan and the rest have been unfairly treated and intentionally kept off television for weeks. Theodore Long says if Mahal wants the spotlight, he’s got it. Long says Petey Williams still needs an opponent tonight and he thanks Jinder for volunteering.

Alberto Del Rio is headed to the ring for his “qualifying” match of sorts against Rey Mysterio as we go to break.

Alberto Del Rio def. Rey Mysterio when Sin Cara interfered

Finish came after Mysterio connected with the 619. Ricardo Rodriguez jumped up on the apron to distract the referee as Sin Cara came down to the ring on a pair of crutches. Perplexed, Mysterio stands on the apron as The International Sensation makes his way down to the ring. Mysterio is stunned as Sin Cara slams one crutch over Mysterio’s left arm before thrusting it into his throat. Sin Cara takes hold of the other crutch and shatters it over Rey’s head as Mysterio crumbles back into the ring. Del Rio slaps on the Cross Armbreaker and the official stops the match. Rey Mysterio will NOT compete in the tag match at EC.

Striker and Matthews run down the Updated Card for the Elimination Chamber PPV and run the Road To Wrestlemania video package.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin discussing strategy entering the Tag Title Match at Elimination Chamber.

The Animal Batista is heading to the ring for the next Survival Match. Batista versus Edge is next as we head to commercial.

Edge def. Batista

Batista is on the verge of putting The Rated “R” Superstar away when the static, snow and test pattern start cutting the signal to the titantron. Once again, the code word “REVENGE” and the date “03/12/12” roll across the screen before the test pattern gives way to the signal on the titantron again. In just enough time for Batista to turn around into a waiting Spear. Edge picks up the victory and for the moment, it will be a tag team match between Edge and Christian and the team of Alberto Del Rio and Kurt Angle.

Jeremy Borash interviews Randy Orton and asks him what his strategy is for tonight’s gauntlet match. Orton casts an icy stare at Borash and simply says “win” before stalking away.

PETEY WILLIAMS is on his way to the ring for his debut match with Jinder Mahal as we go to break.

Petey Williams def. Jinder Mahal

Williams was impressive connecting with a Canadian Leg Sweep at one point during the match before countering Mahal’s Sands of Time Gutbuster into The Canadian Destroyer for the DECISIVE victory. Striker marks through the wall for the impact of the Destroyer.

Borash catches up with Wade Barrett. Barrett says it doesn’t matter who wins the six-pack gauntlet, it doesn’t matter who wins the final spot, and ultimately it doesn’t matter who THINKS they’re going to win the Chamber. The Barrett Barrage will not be stopped until he’s standing in the middle of the ring in Miami, FL holding the World Heavyweight Championship.

A vignette runs with soundbytes playing over video footage rifling through countless WWE Superstars. Soundbytes like “NO ONE IS SAFE”, “THE WINDS OF CHANGE ARE BLOWING” and perhaps most noticeably the voice of Vince McMahon shouting--”IT’S TIME TO SHAKE THINGS UP AGAIN!!!”--This is all accompanied by the tagline--ONE MONTH AWAY as we go to break...

Christian versus Kurt Angle ends in a Double DQ

Finish came when Del Rio aided Angle in a double-team beatdown of Christian, drawing the initial DQ. Edge comes down to make the save, hitting a spear on both Angle and Del Rio. Edge and Christian both retaliate with a Con-Chair-To each to Angle drawing a second disqualification. It now appears it will be a one-on-one contest between Edge and Del Rio at Elimination Chamber.

Borash catches up with Big Show. Borash asks Show what he believes gives him the advantage over his five opponents in the Gauntlet and the Chamber. Big Show grins at Borash and clocks JB with the WMD. Big Show picks up the dropped mic and tells the WWE Universe-- “Ask a stupid question...get a straightforward answer.” Show heads for the ring as we go to break.

Randy Orton wins the Six-Pack Gauntlet to earn the #6 spot in the Chamber.

Fall One: Big Show versus Mark Henry continue brawling to a Double Countout
Fall Two: Wade Barrett def. Bryan Danielson with Wasteland.
Fall Three: Randy Orton def. Wade Barrett with an RKO
Fall Four: Randy Orton def. Cody Rhodes after countering Cross Rhodes into another RKO.

After the match, Orton attempts another Punt on Rhodes, but decides against it at the last minute and rolls from the ring. Clearly, the Viper is planning something more diabolical for the Chamber.

The teaser runs for The Undertaker versus Muhammad Hassan as we go to our final break.

Muhammad Hassan def. The Undertaker when CM Punk interfered

Taker had the match wrapped up after flattening Hassan with The Last Ride. The Deadman was about to finish with a Tombstone when the lights go down. The lights come back up and CM Punk is standing behind Taker. Punk hoists The Phenom up and drops him with another GTS. Hassan crawls to the cover and logs the pinfall.

The WWE Champion grabs the mic and tells Taker that he would put him to sleep for good if he got involved with him or Jericho again and this was a statement to demonstrate that he was serious in his assertion. Punk celebrates putting one over on the Undertaker TWICE this week and raises the WWE Championship belt over his head while standing over the fallen #1 contender for Sheamus’ World Title as Smackdown! goes off the air.
